Eye Check-up
I always knew that I have some eye related problems, but whenever I went to the clinic, I will always ended up being given the same medication and it was a normal eye lubricant. However, after years of self speculations , I finally got my answer today and yes, I did have an eye related illness (I forgotten its name though...).
I went to the Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital (THONEH) to get my eyes check, today. Well, all thanks to a senior who told me about the free eye test and invited me to tag along~ ^^ We went there quite early as the appointment was at 11.00am. My senior forgot to bring his bus card so we ended up walking from college to University Station (it was so far...D:) ...but it was a good workout though.
As soon as we arrived there, my senior gave the person who was in charge of making the appointment a call and when she saw us, she immediately presumed we were a couple! I was like...
Anyway, she asked us to wait at the waiting hall while she registered us. After awhile, she introduced me to my examiner and I was immediately whooshed away. In the examination cube, the examiner asked me about my background, family history etc. However, during this time, I can't help but noticed someone was giggling from the background. It was my examiner's supervisor. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, my examiner was an optometry student. The supervisor told him (my examiner) that he was treating me like a criminal from the way he was asking me questions XD
Supervisor: Thats not the way to ask a patient *giggling*
Examiner: Huh?
Supervisor: The way you asked her questions was like a police interrogating a suspect at a police station. You should always look at your patient when asking question and not writing as she speaks. By the way, you're probing too much on her family. Just ask some simple questions and you can already guess her family medical history *giggling*
Me: ...lol.
Examiner: okay...*smiling*
As we got into more eye examination procedures, we got to know each other and I find him to be a soothing person. He was also very gentle and liked to smile a lot. I find myself drawn to him by his gentleness and in no time, I felt like I was with someone I knew for a very long time and I didn't feel as awkward as I did in the first time. However, his handwriting sucked :P
There was also a moment when he told me to look into his eyes and his supervisor suddenly burst into laughter when he heard it. His supervisor corrected him by saying he should say "look into the light."I lolled. XD
Oh yeah, there was something else I noticed. Male examiners tend to get female patients and vice versa for female examiners XP I think the examiners choose the sex of their patients...lol.
Back to the story, as I was being examined, he suddenly asked,
Examiner: Was that your boyfriend with you just now?
Me:
Examiner: Then who is he?
Me: He's in the same college as I am.
Examiner: Your friend?
Me: My senior from college.
Examiner: So, which college are you from?
Me: Elev...I'm from UM.
Examiner: What course?
Me: English.
Examiner: Oh, you're doing language.
Me: Yup :) And I am not DATING that guy!
Examiner: I thought you guys are a couple since you came together :P
Proceding to the next examination...
He inverted my eyelids. Super uncomfortable but he was very gentle :D He put some saline solution and fluorescent colouring onto my eyes while telling me not to cry (I was not scared or anything but the thing stung my eyes pretty badly that I was about to cry XC) Being a nice guy, I guessed he saw I was in discomfort and gave me a tissue :) However, I did become teary and "cried" as he put too much saline solution in my left eye :P
My full eyes checkup took 3 hours and he examiner diagnosed me with a contact lens-related illness. Before I left, we talked a bit and he gave me his contact number and facebook email. He also helped me to clean my super fluorescent stained eyelid and his hand was gentle until the very end~^^
I'll definitely gonna miss him. I hope he will become a successful optometrist and hopefully someday, our paths might cross again ^^

Balm Review
As mentioned in my previous post, my lips is terribly chapped. I still dunno what's really wrong with my lips therefore, the best thing that I can do and so far works, is to apply lip balm on a regular basis to soothes the pain. I've been a great fan of Himalaya Herbals' lip balm for the past 2 years now, and I can say that it is the best lip balm I had so far. However, I am also eager to try out different brands so, yesterday I dropped by Burt's Bees' store to check out their lip balms (actually, I went there to check their shampoos and conditioners but, their prices were a bit off my budget so, I ended up buying their lip balm instead). SLS-free shampoos were expensive D:
Okay, lets talk about the lip balm. Its called Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning lip balm with Kokum Butter (such a long name) and its made from 100% natural ingredients. It has a nice lemony scent which is not too overpowering and comes in a typical lipstick packaging. However, I think the price is a bit pricey. So far, this is my most expensive lip balm but I have no regrets at all as it does delivers what it promised :) So double thumbs up for Burt's Bees~^^
