New Year's Eve

Sunday

Its the day I've been dreading for the entire holiday *sigh*. Well, for those who didn't know, it is the time where I have to fly back to Kuala Lumpur.

My flight is 6.15am, therefore Mommy wake us (Sis & I) up very early to have our breakfast. After some washing and prepping, we're good to go. At the Airport, I have a mixture of feelings. I mean, I don't feel happy or sad... Its hard to explain but its quite unpleasant.

Upon boarding the plane and touch down in Kuala Lumpur, Sis and I enter a bus, then a cab before reaching our respective colleges. At the college, I do some cleaning before going to Mid Valley to buy some groceries.

There was no internet connection on that day, so I spent the whole day cleaning and tidying up the room.

It was a festive night with a lot of alcohol and pork. I don't drink and not really into the festive mood because I dreaded the last after (I'm going to back to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday). So, I went to bed early with Mommy who was currently sick.

Thin Much?

Hmm...watching models' videos in Youtube is definitely a big motivator for me to be thin. Seriously, I just adore the bonnie legs and the super small figure these models have. OMG, I NEED THAT BODY :D

Anyway, being thin and healthy is proving to be very difficult for me here. At first I thought that being independent, I can evaluate my eating habit and keep in shape but unfortunately, the food got the best of me and I start munching on food non-stop. Give it 3 months and walah! A fat Jodie is born. I hate my current figure. It is FULL of never ending fat. I really miss my once upon a time bonnie Jodie 3 years ago. I was so thin that even when I was wearing S size, it looked like I was wearing M.

Oh well, I need to really plan my eating habit and diet next sem :) I should start my starvation diet again, soon if my weight doesn't go down. By the way, I'm thinking of ladna fried rice later :P

I Survived

I suppose to post something here, everyday, but I'm just too lazy to do that unfortunately XD

Today, I feel like talking about survival. Survival is a meaningful word in my dictionary. Every stages of my life have been rocky and full of hardship. The word "smooth sailing" is seldom; almost never happen to me :P If smooth sailing does occur, then, something really bad gonna happen one way or another XD

Anyway, I'm seriously sucked at Methodology class. In fact, I think I got the lowest marks among my peers. There was a time when I think I'm gonna fail this course for sure :( It was really difficult for me. I mean, my grammar sucks and my sentences in my research paper seem hanging and were all over the place. I was like, "I'm so dead." I dreaded this class and had a very hard time trying to catch up with my peers. They were really good in English. So good, when compared with me, I'm totally out of their circle *crying hysterically*

At the last week of the semester, each of us will present our research paper and only God knows how petrify I was about it. Its not like I was scared of public speaking or anything. Its just that knowing I'm the weakness student in this class makes all my confident goes down my drain. I was the second last to present. It was nerve-wrecking but I did it. After all student have presented their papers, we went to the lecturer's office to see our our grades and guess what? I scored a high marks for presentation and did quite well for the research paper :D So overall, I survived! ^^

Dang!

Its been a very long time since I scribble something on this blog :3 It is almost like I'm abandoning it...lol. Anyway, I just finished my first semester as a freshman in University of Malaya. Its amazing how fast the time flies. I still remember, 5 months ago, I stepped foot on Kuala Lumpur's soil for the first time and I was so "sakai" back then ^^ I was like, "wow", "so cool", "I never knew they have these in Kuala Lumpur!," etc.

Being a pure breed Sarawakian, I grew up thinking Sarawak is the most modernized city there is, but after arriving in Kuala Lumpur and experience everything first hand, here, I've come to a conclusion that Sarawak still has long way to go... Nevertheless, there is no better place than my hometown, Sarawak and I urge any non-Sarawakian readers to visit Sarawak once in their life time! :D I'm sure you guys will love Sarawak as much as I do ^^

Anyway, lets go back to university life. Hmm... so far so good. I find my course to be interesting. My coursemates are a bunch of great and interesting people :) My lecturers are awesome too :D But, amidst every nice things that happened, there will always be a catch somewhere. You see, my loan appeals were rejected twice. I don't get why they kept on rejecting my appeals. Currently, I rely solely on my parents for money. I don't know how much longer this reliance can hold on because its obviously a struggle for both of my parents. My main goal is to be financially independent from my parents but I haven't make any progress yet as my loan appeals keeps getting rejected *sigh*

Oh yeah, yesterday I went to University Putra Malaysia to represent my university for Catur Bestari. Unfortunately, UM didn't get any number :(

Oh Dear...

I don't remember what I did last Wednesday and Thursday, but on Friday I went to see my lecturer. He gave some comments on my essay... After that, I went back to college and there was no internet connection for three days in row. I feel like I'm on the brink of insanity. So I went to MPH book store to read some children literature. I wanted to buy some stuff but I can't afford them :/ I went out of the bookstore and walked aimlessly to kill some time. Before going back, I bought an orange swiss roll, drinks, noodle, biscuits and chocolate (it has been 2 months since I ate chocolate, hence I bought some :3)

On Monday, I have lecture from 10am to 6pm. It was tiring. During Methodolody class, there was a group presentation and I think I was the worst presenter :( Later that night, I went to the hall to listen to the AUKU talk.

I feel so tired today. Maybe its because my class ends at 6pm or maybe I ate too much and gained weight and makes my stamina goes down the drain.

Yesterday I enjoyed the whole day doing nothing.. and regretted it at night when I have to read 47 pages of article today T_T

Its a freedom of expression. If you don't like it, just keep your mouth shut. I mean, who are you to tell me how to dress? You're not even my lecturer. I was like, "why are you so kepo?" Oh, by the way, even my lecturers never comment nor bother about my attire, so I was thinking, why should you?

You know what, I wasn't wearing anything revealing or sexy. It was just a short pant, people! A simple every short pant and it was not that short.

Please, do not tell me what to wear or how I should wear my clothes. I am not a high school student anymore. I can wear whatever I want and for your information, I KNOW the limit, therefore I suggest you should just mind your own business (...and that is if you have any rather than sticking your nose into other people's matter).

I was doing my laundry when I saw my friend again and right on that spot, we planned on going to KLCC. So, off we go~ There, We went to a bookstore called Kinokuniya. My friend bought two books. After that, we went to Mid Valley to buy sushi before going to The Garden to have our dinner.

Finished dinner, we went to a yet another bookstore called Borders before going back to Mid Valley to do our grocery shopping.

I packed my belongings yesterday and today my sister came to help me pick up my stuff. We arrived at her college before noon and I had the opportunity to try the meal from the Eating Hall. Overall, the food was okay.

Living in the 3rd college is a whole new experience for me as the daily routine totally differ from my routine when I'm in the 11th college. I mean, in KUAZ I will do my laundry daily and will hang them to dry in the sun but in the 3rd college, I had to pile them all up before washing them. Not to mention, I had to hang them in the room as the place to hang the clothes is so far away (according to Sis).

During lunch, I was complaining to Sis about me missing the Futsal Match because nobody told me about it. I was like, "why didn't anyone told me about it?! If I knew there was a Futsal Match, I rather skipped the porridge competition and go to the match because ********* was there!" As I blurted his name out loud, I didn't know he was just beside me! =.=' He looked at me and Sis strangely and walked away XP Me and Sis looked at each other and I asked, "did he heard what I said? Why didn't you tell me he was beside me?!" and Sis answered, "oh, is that him?" I felt like hitting my Sis on the head... XP

Yesterday my college organised this competition called "Pertandingan Memasak Bubur Lambuk" in conjunction with the Ramadhan month (...I guessed). Each JKP should sent some representatives to compete in the competition and I represented my JKP which is the Creative JKP. The funny thing was, it supposed to be a competition where we compete against other JKP(s) and Communities but there were only two pots and there were like 6 groups competing. In the end, 3 groups had to share one pot. Honestly, I don't see why we should be competing because in the end, we just gonna share one pot =.=' There was no "fighting spirit" when sharing was involved XD

Anyway, I didn't know there was also a Futsal Match in the other side of the university. I was like, darn it. If I knew that there were Futsal Matches somewhere, I rather skipped the bubur thingy... =.=' *sigh* Oh well, "nasi sudah jadi bubur (lambuk)" XP

Piercing

I got 4 piercing in all when I stepped foot in university but now they were reduced to only 1 O.o This can't be happening... O_O I lost 3 earrings (I dunno when and how) and I don't have any spare :/ I need to get the some new pair of earring soon. Hopefully the holes won't close up >:| If it does, I'm totally gonna be sad :(

By the way, I'm planning to get two new piercings somewhere during this upcoming holiday ^^

New Environment

I went to study at the Study Room today and I love it ♥

It was spacious, quiet and very airy compared to my room. Me likey~ I think I've just found my second home ^^

By the way, I'm super devastated too. I mean, that was so cruel... . How could anyone did that kind of thing?! T_T Anyway, I got the picture already... *sigh*

I went to Mid Valley today ^^ I was so tempted in buying clothes but Sis' words kept on echoing in my head XD

Fire Drill

Someone woke me up by knocking the door really loud this morning XD Actually before this I heard the alarm rang but I thought it was a false alarm so I didn't bothered about it :P

Everyone was told to go to the basketball court but we have to wait there like more than an hour for the late comers (a.k.a VIP) to arrive O.o ...and guess what? They're all seniors and the worst part was they're all girls O_O They gave such stupid excuses when the floor reps went to knock on their door. I mean, come on la... everyone was SLEEPY also and yet we still MAKE AN EFFORT to wake up.

I didn't have any morning class today, yeah!!! :D ...but I still need to wake up early to finish up my assignments :/ I hate Gender Studies. There were tonnes and tonnes of assignments for Gender Studies even though it was just my minor :<

Anyway, class started at 3 p.m. but I went to my faculty 2 hours earlier to have lunch with Sis. Since I arrived at my faculty quite early, I managed to go to KPS to buy bread :3 then, I went back to my faculty to meet up with Sis. Unfortunately, she had her lunch in her college so she just accompanied me but she ate again when she saw me eating barbecued catfish XD

After lunch, Sis and I went to our separate ways. I went to class while Sis went to the library. I went back to college around 6 p.m. I bought Mango Lassi from the cafeteria and overall, it was okay :|

Ti Ratana

Today was the day I went to the orphanage. The trip was organised by the college's Chinese Community (CC in short). It was a very sunny day and luckily the bus got air conditioner :D

Anyway the whole trip was an eye opener for me. I mean, what type of parents would abandoned their kids? :( The saddest part was when we visited the old folk's home. I can't imagine my parents there. It was just heart-breaking to know that some irresponsible kids would "dump" their parents in such a horrible place after all their parents went through to nurture and raised them to become what they are now T_T

Before class started, my friends and I went to submit our proposal at the head office. The TITAS class was full of humour as usual. After I finished class, I went to visit my Sis at the 3rd College. I haven't had my lunch yet but Sis had nothing to offer me so, I went back to the faculty to tapau some kuih(s) :3 I bought RM6.00 worth of kuih(s) and dessert. Sis and I couldn't finish it at the end though... XP

I went back to college around 5 p.m. but before that, I, again went to the faculty to buy more kuih(s). I had dinner with my friends and not long after that, I got a text from another friend who was in charge of the orphanage trip. He wanted me to submit my donation card so I rushed down to meet him but to my surprise, I was the only one there. The rest were too busy to go down or they were already busy with something else. I pity that guy XD

Anyway, I waited together with him but after awhile since there were no people so we decided to take a spin around Kuala Lumpur :D He brought me to visit Kepong, Sunway Pyramid and Sunway area ^^ We tapau food from a place called umm...I forgot its name XP and had supper at a place somewhere in Sunway :) Overall, it was fun even though that guy was clueless about directions XD We came back to college around 1 a.m. and guessed what? My room mate locked me out. I decided to go to my friend's room and was thinking of spending the night with her but still being optimistic, I knocked as hard as I can at my room's door and hoping one of my room mates woke up. Luckily one did :D So, the rest was history. I went to the bathroom to bath but ended up vomiting in the process. I was like, there goes my RM6.00 worth of kuih(s)...such a waste T_T

Oh dear, what am I doing?! I'm so freaking up right now! The dateline is getting nearer!! Someone please stab me right now!!! >:(

Okay, here's the thing. I'm trying to update my blog every single day but it turns out to be "very difficult" to do. First and foremost is the internet connectivity. Its crazy. I mean, a minute I'm online, then, suddenly the line is gone and there's no internet. Seriously, this little thing is totally affecting my sanity in a major way right now D:

The second thing is assignment. Not one, not two but uncountable. Its like a mountain of assignments. For some reason, I think my lecturers are a bunch of heartless and inconsiderate human being. I mean, I can't get enough rest, sleep or even some time to unwind >< My head is preoccupied with assignments, datelines and more researches for most of the time.

The last but not least is the oh so late meetings. Yesterday was a total drag. I was half asleep and it was annoying when people kept pestering me on why I can't speak Chinese, why won't I learn them and why didn't my Dad teach me?

University life is so hard... I wish it would be much easier... :<

How Long Will It Takes?

I woke up and felt my body was hot again. I think my fever is back :(

I took so long to prep up in the morning that I nearly miss the bus. After TITAS, I went to my department to attend the welcoming party. I thought they gonna give us lunch but instead, it was just tea and some snacks. I was kinda disappointed XP

Anyway, I thought of changing my minor so me and another friend went to have some consultation with Dr. Caroline and she told us but we should try and ask the dean ourselves. After that, I decided to go back to college and headed towards the bus stop but unfortunately, there were no buses to be seen. I waited for 2 hours. During the torturous wait, luckily, I was accompanied by some friends. So, I don't really felt the time passing by... :)

I seriously feel terrible. I think I'm going to get a high fever sometime soon... oh dear T_T

My life is super sucked right now. I hate Gender Studies. Stupid subject. Stupid topic. I am so messed up right now. How I wish I could turn back time and change my minor into history. Argghhh!!! I hate this ><

Anyway, the truth is, I messed up during my presentation. Everything that came out of my mouth doesn't make sense and I was like, "what on earth did I just blurted out?!". After I finished babbling, my lecturer commented on my presentation. She said, "you made a good effort in translating the texts but I don't understand 3/4 of what you were saying. You are good in interpreting the theories and I think you will do very well in the Gender Theories for the next semester". After she finished commenting, I just feel like crying T_T Her remarks make me rethink of continuing Gender Studies for another 6 semester... D:

Okay, enough with the tears and lets talk about something else. Lets see, I haven't been updating my blog for like ages. I didn't write much about my life is July and thats bad. Hmm...anyway, my university life is totally hectic right now. I'm really (...and I mean reaaally) busy with assignments, club meetings, etc. I'm trying my best to juggle everything but they just ended up failing apart. I'm so in need of a break and plus, I'm currently sick. I had this fever and cough for a week right now :(

Since I didn't write much about my life in July, I guess I better summarise it here: July was the month where I first set foot to Kuala Lumpur and of course University of Malaya. That month was also the last month that I gonna see Daddy and Mommy T_T During my stay in UM (11th residential college to be exact), I met a lot of students from all parts of Malaysia and of course some foreign students as well. The orientation week was hell but fun at the same time. The seniors were also nice and I began to adapt and feel at home in 2 weeks. In college I joined the Chinese Community. Here, I met most of Chinese seniors and they're really warm and friendly. We have 3 days of orientation and by day three, the seniors held a dinner to welcome us.

Ever since I arrived in Kuala Lumpur, I was always curious about the shopping malls. I mean, people told me Kuala Lumpur has the best shopping centres in the whole of Malaysia and to compare The Spring and Boulevard to them, it will be like comparing sushi with fried chicken XD

Anyway, I went to Mid Valley during the first week of my stay in Kuala Lumpur. The trip was more or else a tour for us, freshies, to the city life in KL. It was organised by the Chinese seniors from our college. I don't remember buying anything in particular but I do remember I bought some groceries. It was also a "no plastic bag day" so, cramming everything in my handbag was quite troublesome. In Sarawak there was no such thing as "no plastic bag day" though... . Okay, lets see, where was I? Oh yeah, this was also the day I met a Sarawakian girl named Akiko Hiura :) She was super friendly and we clicked instantly ^^

Week two; I accompanied Akiko to buy her laptop. Since I have to do my own shopping, I went wondering around on my own. I ended up buying two pairs of shoes, a pair of socks, a pair of white 3/4 pants and a pair of top.

Week two, orientation week =.=' but anyway, I managed to go to Mid Valley with my roommates. I bought a pair of heels, 2 pairs of baby t's, a necklace, an eyeshadow, a sunscreen.

Week three, I went there with my sister after we finished our class on Friday. I bought a backpack, a black 3/4 pants, a cardigan and of course, some groceries. On Sunday, I went to Mid Valley again with Akiko and Ayman. I bought 2 large bottle of drinking water, a drinking bottle and that was about it ^^

2 weeks passed and it still feels surreal~

I mean, dude, I'm in Kuala Lumpur!!! ^^

Friday

This is my last day in Sarawak T_T morning: go see ndrew & muhd fly to sabah. go back home & eat laksa for breakfast. go stutong for some eyebrow shaping ^^ and go to GDC to meet up with former colleagues :) bought a kitty bag.

I started packing in the afternoon. As I was revising my document, I noticed some of them didn't have any validation signature so I had to go school to ask for the stamp again and I got scolded by the stupid fat office boy. Anyway, I did manage to get a stamp from Mr. Goh then, I went back home. When I came back, Daddy and I went to stotong to buy medicine & stationery. After that, we went to tabuan jaya. Daddy went to fetch his spectacle. I bought a watch and Daddy bought kfc for dinner.


At night, I packed my luggage some more :)

Wednesday & Thursday

I spent the whole day packing :) I thought of buying some more clothes but guess what? I just discovered I had tonnes of clothes that I never use and some of them still had their price tags on... pretty wasteful huh? =.=' But! I'm still gonna buy some tomorrow :P Oh, don't forget my stationery too ^^

Wednesday

I was still down with my fever T_T But nevertheless, there's no time to be sick. I spent the whole morning updating this blog :) I think ever since I got the university offer, I've been neglecting it and that is not a good thing. You see, I made a promise to myself that I'll be blogging everyday and will only not updating if there's no internet or time limitation.

Anyway, Mommy and Sis went shopping in town this morning. I can't follow them because I was sick. Mommy bought me some Chicken Rice for lunch. After lunch, the three of us had fruit rojak as dessert. As we were eating, Sis told me Andrew wanna bring us go jalan-jalan. I went straight to shower and in the middle of it, I heard Andrew already came. Hence, I have to fasten my pace ><

After Sis and I done preparing, the three of us went to fetch Erman. Then, all of us went to The Spring. There, we accompanied Andrew for lunch. Erman was looking for a necktie to match his shirt so we helped him searched. Our next stop was Tabuan Jaya. I bought most of my stationery there. I also went to take my spectacles but unfortunately, the new one wasn't finish yet and only the old one did. The assistant told me to fetch it at night. As soon as we got of the optometrist shop, we met my aunt and cousin.

After Andrew sent us home, Mommy, Sis & I went to Stutong to buy some undergarments...lol and a pair of plastic flip-flop. I met up with my former colleagues too. After that, we went back to Tabuan Jaya where I bought my stainless steel container and took my spectacle.

Monday & Tuesday

Tuesday

Today, Daddy, Sis and I went to a couple of places again. This time Mommy didn't follow because she had to look after the laundry plus she said she doesn't feel well.

Our journey began approximately at 3 p.m. First, we went to OneTJ to buy my flash drive.

Then, we went to H&L to buy my container but ended up didn't buy any :P After that, we went to our last destination and which was Tabuan Jaya. I bought a new pair of spectacle and change the lens of my current one. Before going back, we went to Seven One and I bought my soap dish there :)

Monday

It was a fun and tiring day for me as I was down with fever + flu. Daddy was also on leave so it turned into a family day for us :)

It kicked off with a visit to CIMB bank and Maybank located at Satok. Since Monday was a weekday hence, there were some heavy traffic along the way but when we reached the banks, everything went on smoothly and it ended pretty quick :3

Off we go to our next destination which is the Telekom something-something (I don't remember its name :P). There, Daddy and Sis went in to pay the internet, water and electricity bills while Mommy and I waited outside.

After that, we went to Boulevard to do some shopping. I think I was the one who bought the most things (minus the groceries of course ^^). These are the things that I've bought...
